The archipelago called the Sporades (meaning
dispersed) is located to the north and east of Evia island
and to the East and south-east of the Pelion Peninsula. They
are blessed with dense vegetation, mountainous terrain, transparent
waters and long, sandy beaches. Skiathos is the touristiest
of the group, Skopelos has the more picturesque town, Skyros
retains more of its local colours and Alonissos is the smallest
and wildest. |
