The island of Kalymnos is part of the archipelago
called Dodecanese and is located between the islands of Kos
and Leros, close to the coasts of Turkey.
The island was famous for its sponge fishing industry but
is now mostly leaving of slowly growing tourism.
Kalymnos has kept is traditional and authentic colours and
atmosphere which, along with its beautiful landscape and attractive
beaches, are charming every visitor who has chosen it for
its holiday destination. 12000 inhabitants are leaving on
Kalymnos.
The coastline of Kalymnos is boarded by
crystal-clear waters and has beautiful beaches and secluded
coves.
Some beaches are equipped with water sports facilities as
well as umbrellas and sun beds rentals, while others are completely
unspoiled, left to their natural beauty.
Some of the island’s beaches are Arginonda which is coil up
in a picturesque bay, Emborios with its smooth pebbles and
clear waters, the long sandy beach of Kandouni, the lovely
beach of Linaria or the astonishing Platis Yialos which has
soft black sand.
